New Year, New Possibilities
It’s a new year and our team is excited to see what 2020 has in store. The beginning of a new year is always a good time to reflect on the prior year and we do so with grateful hearts. 2019 was incredible for Project 4031. As we continue to strengthen end of life stories for people of all ages facing end of life challenges, we see steadily increasing needs. Since inception, Project 4031 has been privileged to be a part of end of life stories with over 550 individuals and their families!
In 2019, Project 4031 impacted the lives of about 80 terminally ill children and adults and their family members. Twenty-five last dreams were fulfilled, with almost 50% of those involving travel with family and loved ones. Each dream was unique and provided special, lasting memories for everyone involved. Fifty-six individuals were served through our Funding for Families program, which exists to meet the basic needs of those struggling financially after receiving a terminal diagnosis. Within this program, our most commonly requested service continues to be financial assistance for housing, which comprised almost 50% of funding needs. All funding support provided to those in need allowed families to focus on quality time with their ill loved one and helped relieve stress during an unimaginably difficult time. Through our Fueling International Outreach program, Project 4031 also partnered with other local area nonprofits to send hospice and palliative care efforts to Belize. These resources continue to positively impact the people of Belize who do not have access to quality medical equipment and supplies.
Our programs are only possible because of generous people like you who believe in our mission. Thank you for your support and for standing with us in our efforts to ensure those we serve experience the joy, hope, and peace we all deserve when facing the end of life. We look forward to a wonderful 2020 with you all by our side as we watch our programs continue to grow and make a greater impact!
