- Marwa’s Story -

Micah
Marwa, a young mother of three, had been battling cancer for over a year when her hospice social worker introduced her to Project 4031. Due to her diagnosis, she was no longer able to work, and her family was struggling financially. Thankfully, her mother had moved in with the family to help care for Marwa so her husband could continue working to provide for the family. However, with the loss of Marwa’s income, their total household income was greatly reduced, and her mother was trying to look for work as well to assist with covering their monthly household bills.
Marwa’s husband was also doing all he could, working overtime to help make ends meet and to guarantee they didn’t get behind. Like many families who face the daily struggles a cancer diagnosis brings, Marwa’s family was experiencing financial hardships due to the cost of her care over time coupled with a reduction in income. This financial struggle increased their stress and worry during this difficult time. Project 4031 assisted by relieving some of the burden and covering the family’s mortgage for one month, allowing them to focus more on Marwa’s care and giving them some much-needed breathing room.

“Thank you very much for your help. Your organization is really helpful, and I really appreciate your support. I don’t know what to say except, God bless you. Thank you! “
