Supporting Families Through Life’s Transitions: The Story of Michelle and Lisalee

Project 4031 had the privilege of assisting Michelle as she moved in with her daughter, Lisalee, and her family to Arlington, Texas. Lisalee, a dedicated professor of American Sign Language (ASL) at the University of Texas at Arlington, wanted to express her gratitude for the support we provided during this significant life transition.

In a heartfelt video, Lisalee shared her experiences and emphasized the importance of resources like Project 4031 for the Deaf community. She hopes that by sharing their story, other Deaf individuals and families caring for loved ones at the end of life will feel empowered to reach out for support.

We are honored to be a part of Michelle and Lisalee’s journey and are committed to continuing our work in providing compassionate assistance to families navigating these challenging moments. Together, we can foster a supportive community that uplifts and empowers everyone during life’s most profound transitions.
