– Myah’s Story –

Sophie's Story
At age eleven, Myah has already been through unimaginable hardships. She lost her dad to cancer, and when we met her, she was suffering through a second cancer battle herself. Unknowingly, a genetic disorder was passed down from her dad to both Myah and her little brother. Due to this genetic predisposition to cancer, both children will have to be closely monitored for the rest of their lives. The hospice social worker introduced Myah to Project 4031 when her cancer relapsed. Although doctors didn’t give the family much hope, Myah continued her chemotherapy treatments to fight back against the cancer. Her widowed mom Llesenia does all she can to provide for the family, but as insurance deductibles mount and medical bills piled up, the financial challenges and stressors continued to increase. Project 4031 assisted the family by paying one month of the family’s mortgage. Llesenia, who suffers alongside her sick child, called this a true blessing. The financial support the family received allowed them to free up funds to focus on Myah’s wellbeing during a critical time.

“This help came in such a needed time, and we are so very grateful. Thank you for blessing my family with this help. I am hoping that our story touches your donors and as our t-shirts say, ‘In this family, no one fights alone!’ It takes every single small donation to get us through this fight! God bless you.”
