Suzie’s Story

Micah

Frank and Suzie were vacationing together when Frank suffered a heart attack and Suzie was diagnosed with cancer. Simultaneously, they went from enjoying everyday life to fighting to stay alive. Frank recovered and took on the role of caregiver for Suzie during her surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments. They rejoiced when Suzie was in remission but were not surprised when the cancer returned and Suzie was admitted to hospice service. They made the difficult decision to move to DFW to be near Frank’s family so he could have a support system as he cared for Suzie. Retired on a fixed income, incurring repeated expenses for Suzie’s care and unexpected moving costs, their family was in need of some financial assistance.

Project 4031 provided funds for one month to cover their mortgage, utilities, and groceries. This support gave Suzie great comfort and time to focus on enjoying the precious few days she had left. It could not have come at a more critical time since she passed away just four short weeks later.

“On behalf of Suzie, let me express our heartfelt gratitude for what the Lord has done through Project 4031 for us. We have been richly blessed by your generous gifts to us. We had been asking the Lord to provide beyond what we normally receive financially. He answered our prayers through you. Thank you.”
