During the happiest season of all, the terminally ill patients and families Project 4031 serves are going through unimaginable hardships and hope for Christmas time to be extra special. It’s a time to make lasting memories for families to hold on to long after their loved one has passed away. Thanks to our community of supporters, we were able to spread some cheer and make eight Christmas dreams come true last December. Dreams included providing gifts and shopping experiences for four families, a Christmas Eve feast for a family of 25, a trip to visit family, and two Christmas experiences in our local area.

Connor’s Christmas Dream Come True

Christmas truly is always the most wonderful time of the year for Connor’s family. Ten-year-old Connor has bravely battled genetic disorders since birth. Connor and his family wished for a “magical” Christmas experience to simply make special memories (together each family members’ first initial spells m-a-g-i-c). They had a wonderful time during their stay at the Gaylord Texan Resort and said it was a great opportunity to get away and kick off the Christmas season. They enjoyed photos with Santa, gingerbread house making, the ICE exhibit, and more. The family also received the red-carpet treatment at Grapevine Vintage Railroad’s North Pole Express. They created a unique family memory aboard a beautifully decorated rail coach where they traveled to the North Pole to Santa’s workshop to meet Santa himself and sing carols.

“I wanted to thank Project 4031 for helping us make Christmas time so beautiful this year. We will treasure the memories we were able to make together. Everyone had such a wonderful time and the whole adventure was unforgettable. We were so loved on and blessed.” -Alyx, Connor’s mom
