Project 4031 has been busy this summer serving terminally ill children and adults throughout our community and around the globe, through our Fueling International Outreach service area.
As you may recall, we have served the Hospice and Palliative Care team in Belize since 2013 by sending medical equipment and supplies, a vehicle, clinical professionals, and volunteers to serve and provide direct care to patients. In June, I had the honor to lead a trip where we did it “all” over a five-day period. Our team consisted of my wife and Co-Founder, Kristina, our former Executive Director, Leanna, two amazing Fort Worth moms, Azilee and Amy, and their hard-working daughters, Charlotte and Annilee. These women were incredible and truly changed the lives of those they touched. This was my fourth trip to Belize and I grow more and more in love with the Belizean people each time.
Hospice care, and even home health care for that matter, is not reimbursed by the government; therefore, the Hospice and Palliative Care team of Belize is 100% volunteer. Over 100 volunteers countrywide see patients in between their professional lives and family schedules, utilizing their own money and time to serve others in their community or village. These selfless acts of service still blow my mind. While in country we personally visited over twenty patients, built a wheelchair ramp, delivered an electric wheelchair we brought on the plane, cleaned out the warehouse container in preparation for our fall shipment, and more. Of particular interest to us was listening to the needs of the hospice team so we can continue to send equipment and supplies in the future that will truly make a difference. In each of the homes we visited, we saw equipment and supplies donated and shipped by Project 4031. The trip was full of hard work, laughter, tears, memorable conversations, and love. Project 4031 is making a visible IMPACT in Belize and this would not be possible without your generosity, support, and prayers.

Community
We love our community and there is nothing better than when we meet special people who have a heart for our mission and want to help us continue making an IMPACT! We have been privileged to work with amazing local businesses and be a part of some community programs including FitBodies By Sharon, FunkyTown Donuts, Mustard Seed Jewelry, Community Partners Program at Trinity Valley School, Allstate Foundation’s Helping Hands Program, and Kendra Scott. We were blown away by the support from these give back events and community programs that raised over $8,500 throughout the first half of 2018 benefiting Project 4031!
If you know any local businesses or individuals in our community that may be interested in partnering with us on fundraiser/give back events benefiting Project 4031, please contact us at info@project4031.org or 817-653-8976. We appreciate your support!
On April 23, 2018, our annual golf tournament benefiting Project 4031 was held at Mira Vista Country Club. Golfers enjoyed a beautiful day and joined us to play for a purpose and make an IMPACT in the lives of those we serve. Thank you to everyone who supported this event, including our sponsors, players, and many volunteers. We are so excited this great event has grown over the past four years and continues to build on each year’s prior success. We are thrilled to announce we met our goal and raised a gross total of over $34,000! We invite you to join us for next year’s tournament at Mira Vista in spring 2019.

“Some days the work that you and your organization do for people is the only glimmer of hope we get. It does not go unnoticed. Thank you!”
“Everything was so great! The staff at Great Wolf Lodge (Kansas City) did so much to make our visit special. The kids got candy and gift baskets. We enjoyed a fully stocked cabana with towels, drinks, and even more gifts. I am so thankful that you made this happen for Riley. Family time was exactly what we needed after getting the news that one-third of our family would be going to heaven. Thank you so much again for helping to make her last few weeks happy and fun. It means so much to us.”
“Today was Noah’s burial and his mom got to share Noah’s photos and the joy they shared during their trip to Great Wolf Lodge. They said that coming home from the eight-month long hospitalization and beginning home hospice service was when they got to start living and creating memories. I hope you all know that you made that joy possible. Thanks for all that you do. It’s truly a gift to work with you all.”
“Thank you so much! This is an answer to prayer! We feel tremendously blessed, there are no words to describe it! This may not be a lot to some, but it’s huge for us! Our hearts are full!”
