North Texas Giving Thank You

Thank YOU for making an impact!

North Texas Giving Day was a great success thanks to our amazing supporters, proving yet again, our community was ready and willing to step up and give hope and help during these unprecedented times! Thank you for being a part of the movement and making this our best year yet.

North Texas Giving Day is hosted annually in September and is the largest community-wide giving event in the nation. This 18-hour online day of giving continues to get bigger and better each year. As you know, nonprofits all over the world have been negatively impacted by this global pandemic. Special events have been canceled, and fundraising is down as a result. Yet, many nonprofits are experiencing an increase in demand for critical services at the same time.

NTGD Growing Impact Graphic

On September 17th, North Texas Giving Day supported these organizations and the individuals who desperately need their help now more than ever. This year, donations were made from all 50 states and 26 countries. A record-breaking $58.8 million was raised for over 3,200 local nonprofits! This is on top of the $20.7 million already raised in May through North Texas Giving Tuesday Now, an emergency day of giving in response to COVID-19. What an incredible testament to how resilient North Texas is and how this global crisis can’t stop generosity and kindness in the world!

Project 4031 set a goal to raise $12,000 in one day of giving, and we were blown away with your support. Thanks to a generous donor kicking things off with matching funds dollar for dollar up to $5,000, Project 4031 raised over $22,600 – almost doubling our goal, and YOU made it happen!

Many families are still reeling from the devastating effects of COVID-19 as businesses continue announcing closures and layoffs. The fear and stress many are facing creates daily uncertainty for families as they struggle to make ends meet and search for new employment. Project 4031’s families encounter these same struggles with financial hardships as they strive to provide the best end-of-life care for their loved ones. Still, now they are forced to endure this already difficult journey during a global pandemic. To reduce exposure for their immunocompromised loved ones, families have been forced to isolate and stay home to stay safe. Coping with the financial and emotional turmoil following a terminal diagnosis has only been amplified during this pandemic. Many families are struggling now more than ever to cover monthly expenses, such as housing, utilities, and food. The support Project 4031 provides through the funds raised on North Texas Giving Day is vital for helping meet the basic needs of our families and enables them to focus on quality time with their loved ones.

We know this has been a difficult year for so many in our community, so we are incredibly thankful for your support of our efforts to strengthen end-of-life stories. Every gift, no matter how big or small, made a meaningful difference! Our hearts are full of so much gratitude and hope for our mission as we look toward the future! Thank you for continuing to stand with us to make an IMPACT!

“Thank you for continuing to grow your program and assist so many more patients and families during these extra difficult times!”
