Did you know that 70% of Americans live paycheck-to-paycheck? [1]

Did you know that 49% of Americans can’t cover one month’s expenses without their income?[2]

These shocking statistics are why it is so vital for Project 4031 to continue to serve terminally ill patients and their families that are in need at the end of life. We hear story after story about families that have exhausted all efforts and who have depleted their savings in order to save a loved one. Now they find themselves in crisis mode, drowning in piles of medical bills from hospital visits and various types of life-saving treatments that were sadly unsuccessful.

Project 4031 strives to help this underserved population who are struggling financially as they navigate through the difficult day-to-day decisions that have to be made when diagnosed with a terminal illness. Each family we encounter is making every effort to provide the best possible care and ensure their loved one has the best quality of life during the time they have left. As families face these unimaginable situations they are overwhelmed with stress, emotions, and exhaustion and are desperately in need of some light during these dark times. Concerns mount further as financial strains deepen when a family member must provide care for a loved one and no longer has steady income to cover monthly living expenses. Project 4031 believes no one should have to decide between spending quality time with their loved one whose days are numbered and being able to pay their monthly bills.

It may come as no surprise that the largest service requested from Project 4031 on an annual basis is funding assistance for housing and/or utilities. Through our Funding for Families program, basic needs are met allowing families to stay in the comfort of their own home and ensuring they aren’t displaced or evicted. It also keeps utilities from being terminated to ensure day-to-day routines are not interrupted. In 2019, Project 4031 has already served 16 families with funding for housing and/or utilities.

Project 4031 will continue to serve terminally ill patients of all ages and their families through the generous support of donors and advocates in the community like you. Thank you to all of our supporters for believing in our mission and for helping us make a positive impact in the lives of families that are experiencing such heartache and are in desperate need of comfort and peace.
